You know how your kids are ready to move on but are not sure what moving on means?

Do you remember when YOU were getting ready to graduate and were both excited and terrified because you were ready to leave home and yet not sure what you were meant to be/do? And so you just did something? Anything?

I partnered with another coach, Melissa Larson, to create a program that helps young adults chart their course forward. We help young adults get clarity about who they are; about their passions so they choose a destination matching their purpose.

We set kids up for a successful launch and get them out of the house.

In the meantime, here are some questions to get them and you thinking: Tips for Upcoming Graduates and Their Families

Big Magic

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert

Ms. Gilbert is so genuinely passionate about tapping into inspiration through curiosity. This is full of wonderful insights, great stories and encouragement to find what we most love.

The Noticer

The Noticer by Andy Andrews

It’s all about perspective. Through Andy and Jones, you get insights about how perspective can change your whole view of things. At one point Jones reminds Andy “… you can do whatever you want to do. You can accomplish whatever you want to accomplish. You are never lacking funds. Neither is the calendar your enemy. When you need most to accomplish something great in your life, you are only lacking an idea.” Feeling strapped, stuck or overwhelmed? This book might be the nudge you need to change your outlook.

Taming Your Gremlin

Taming Your Gremlin by Rick Carson

It’s a fun read about taming those voices in your head which begins with actively noticing them in the first place. It’s a great companion for what I do with coaching around Survival Mechanisms.

A Return to Love

A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles  by Marianne Williamson

One of my favorite quotes from all times comes from this book: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” This book inspires one to relinquish fear and embrace all the possibilities that come with claiming our power.
